CSA 2025 - Week #14 (B)
SEPTEMBER 17, 18 & 19
The days are getting shorter and the trees on the mountain are starting to turn color. Fall is just around the corner! It hasn’t been a great year for our poor tomatoes (early blight hit the Northeast hard), but the cherries are hanging on. Enjoy the last week of the zucchini and tomatoes as we bid farewell to the summer crops. I’ll be making this week’s recipe of roasted zucchini & cherry tomatoes — a quick and easy side dish.

IN THE BOX…
Green Beans
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Sungold Cherry Tomatoes
Storage: On the counter.
Yellow Potatoes
Storage: In a cool, dry and DARK place. Do not expose to light.
Zucchini
Storage: In an airtight bag in the fridge.
Mini Broccoli - Thursday
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Green Cabbage - Wednesday
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Arugula
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Beets
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge. Remove the roots from the greens and store separately.
Basil
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge OR bouquet-style in a glass of water.

**The fruit is packaged in paper tote bags inside a cardboard box at the site. If you are not a fruit share member, do not touch the totes!**
IF IT DOES NOT SAY "FRUIT" NEXT TO YOUR NAME ON THE CHECK-IN SHEET, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE A FRUIT TOTE. We only send the exact number of orders to each site. We know that the fruit is tempting and delicious and you can still sign up if you haven't already! info@goldenearthworm.com
If someone else is picking up your share for you, be sure to instruct them on the pick-up protocols. Last year we had a "substitute" pick-up person take an entire box of fruit! It's one tote bag per fruit share membership.
