We have been committed to the art of Organic & Regenerative farming for the past 30 years.

The Golden Earthworm Organic Farm is a small first-generation family farm that started back in 1994 as the very first Certified Organic vegetable farm on Long Island’s North Fork. Farmers Matt Kurek and Maggie Wood began growing for CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), as it provided a reliable market for our food and a direct connection to the community who would be sharing the harvest.

We farm with a combination of innovative methods and ancient practices that honor the land.

Today we grow the highest quality, USDA-Certified Organic produce to feed thousands of families across Long Island through our authentic farm share program.

We believe in growing food to feed our community today while building and nourishing the soil for future generations.

Our beautiful FARMLAND

After farming on Long Island for 30 years, we moved our operation to southern Vermont in 2023. We worked with the Vermont Land Trust to preserve the rich agricultural heritage of our new farmland by placing a conservation easement on the property. This ensures the the farm will remain in agriculture for perpetuity. We believe in growing food to feed our community today while building and nourishing the soil for future generations.

Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that we are on Abenaki land; One of the earliest known farm sites along the Connecticut River. Archeological evidence of this activity has been documented on the property.
