CSA 2025 - Week #15 (A)
SEPTEMBER 24, 25 & 26
What a harvest this week! So many crops are coming in this time of year. Turnips, broccoli and the most delicious yellow wax beans! The cherry tomatoes and a few last zucchini and cucumbers are holding on, so they’re bonuses in your box! I know I’ll be using these last few squash and tomatoes in a big batch of minestrone and then I’ll miss them for the next 10 months!

IN THE BOX…
Yellow Wax Beans
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Japanese Salad Turnips - Wednesday
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge. Remove the roots from the greens before storing.
Red Radishes - Thursday
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge. Remove the roots from the greens before storing.
Sungold Cherry Tomatoes
Storage: On the counter.
Eggplant
Storage: On the counter for up to a day or two. Enjoy right away!
Scallions
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Broccoli
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Romaine Lettuce
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Mini Watermelon
Storage: In the fridge.
Zucchini & Cucumber
Storage: In an airtight bag in the fridge.

**The fruit is packaged in paper tote bags inside a cardboard box at the site. If you are not a fruit share member, do not touch the totes!**
IF IT DOES NOT SAY "FRUIT" NEXT TO YOUR NAME ON THE CHECK-IN SHEET, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE A FRUIT TOTE. We only send the exact number of orders to each site. We know that the fruit is tempting and delicious and you can still sign up if you haven't already! info@goldenearthworm.com
If someone else is picking up your share for you, be sure to instruct them on the pick-up protocols. Last year we had a "substitute" pick-up person take an entire box of fruit! It's one tote bag per fruit share membership.
