“Contender“ Peach
A medium size freestone peach with excellent flavor.
How to store fruit
Peaches should be stored on the counter (not touching) until just tender to the touch. Then enjoy right away or store in the fridge to prevent over-ripening.
STORAGE
Store the eggplant in a plastic bag or other airtight container ON THE COUNTER. Use within 3 days. Storing in the fridge can cause cold damage to the eggplant.
All other items can be stored in the fridge. Please use the onions within 5 days as they are fresh and not cured.
The basil can be stored “bouquet-style” in a glass of water on the counter. Change the water daily and use within 3 days.
THIS IS WEEK “A” for bi-weekly members
Please store your potatoes in the fridge! They are fresh harvested and have not been cured. In fact, all items this week should be stored in the fridge except for the tomatoes. Tomatoes can sit on the counter until they are full ripe. (The deeper the orange color, the more ripe they are.)
