IN THE BOX…
Carrots
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge. Separate the roots from the tops before storing.
Red Boston Lettuce
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Escarole
Note this may look like lettuce, but it is not! You can tell it’s the escarole because the leaves are fully green and the ribs are white.
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Purple Potatoes
The purple skins and flesh on this variety are a nutrient powerhouse due to their high antioxidant content, especially anthocyanins, which give them their vibrant color. These antioxidants can help reduce inflammation, protect against cell damage, and potentially lower the risk of chronic diseases. Delicious too!
Storage: In a cool, dry and DARK spot.
Leeks
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Sweet Potatoes
Storage: On the counter or in a dry, room temperature spot.
Green Peppers
Storage: In an air-tight bag in the fridge.
Autumn Frost Winter Squash
Storage: On the counter for up to a 2 weeks. Not for long-term storage.
Butternut Winter Squash
Storage: On the counter for up to a 2 weeks. Not for long-term storage.
