CSA 2014 - Week #23
NOTES ON THE SHARE
We've received quite a few inquiries over the past week regarding the last week of CSA pick-up for the season. Lucky for you, Long Island has a long growing season, so we actually have a few more weeks to go! Since Thursday and Friday sites started a week earlier in the spring, they will end the week before Thanksgiving. Tuesday and Wednesday sites will receive their last delivery the week of Thanksgiving. Also, please note that the FRUIT SHARE ends this week.
LAST 2014 CSA DELIVERY DATES
Tuesday Sites - November 25th
Wednesday Sites - November 26th
Thursday Sites - November 20th
Friday Sites - November 21st
STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT RENEWING FOR OUR 2015 CSA SEASON COMING SOON!!!!
*A note on the Cauliflower -- Cauliflower heads don't all mature at the same time, so we harvest them as they are ready. This means that everyone will receive a beautiful head of cauliflower some time over the next few weeks.

FRUIT STORAGE TIPS
"The best way to ripen the fruit is to take it out of the plastic bag and let the condensation dry off so the moisture doesn't encourage any spoilage. As soon as it is ripe, eat it right away or put it in the fridge." - Farmer Clark, Briermere Farms
