CSA 2019 - Week #12
It's watermelon week! These melons leave the farm in perfect condition and our drivers are instructed to gently place the boxes at each site...So PLEASE be careful to not knock them around because these are not grown for their tough rinds, they are grown for flavor! If you find that your melon is cracked when you get it home, it probably just cracked in transport and it should be totally fine if you put it straight in your fridge. If it is not good, of course, let us know and we will replace it for you.
A quick note on the tomatoes... They are starting to ripen, but we don't have enough yet for everyone to get them in the shares this week. We are rotating them in as they ripen and by next week they should be yielding enough for everyone to get them. We're working with nature and plants here, so it's not an exact science! We know that you are all so patiently waiting for the tomatoes and they are coming!!!!
Have a great week, friends!
