Notes on the share
We're winding down our active season here at that farm, but that doesn't mean that the last few CSA boxes will be redundant with roots and storage crops. No, not at all! This week we are happy to have radicchio again- and curly cress too! A lot of crops like the cool days and colder nights- especially the greens that take on a sweeter flavor when touched with a light frost.
We will begin accepting 2011 CSA renewal applications (for returning CSA members only) in another week or so. More details to come in next week's newsletter so stay tuned...
Winter Share Sign-up has begun!
We are now accepting applications for our CSA winter share! If you are a Long Island CSA member, please note that we only have winter share pick-ups at two locations -- Manhasset and the farm in Jamesport. The pick-up takes place every three weeks and you can find all the details here >>Winter CSA Share Info
