VEGETABLE SHARE

Zucchini - 5-7 pieces
Scallions - 1 bunch
Swiss Chard - 1 bunch
Corn - 4 pieces
Basil - 1 bunch
Cucumber - 1 piece
Toscano Kale - 1 bunch
Romaine Lettuce - 1 head
Broccoli - 3 pieces

FRUIT SHARE
The contents of the fruit share change on a daily basis. Remember that the fruit share is grown by Briermere Farms and works differently than our vegetable shares. The value of the fruit sent out each week is deducted from the $138 you paid up front at the beginning of the season. The fruit share will continue until a total of $138 is deducted from your account. This gives the fruit farm flexibility to send out the quantity and variety that is ready to harvest on any given day. If you have any questions about the fruit, please contact Briermere Farm directly at briermere@aol.com

FRUIT SHARE for Long Island WEDNESDAY (Check back daily for the updated share.)
1 bag Peaches
1 container Blueberries
1 container Blackberries

FRUIT SHARE for Queens THURSDAY
1 bag Peaches
1 container Blueberries

FRUIT STORAGE INFORMATION
Leave peaches at room temperature, or put them in a paper bag.  This does help - the ethylene gas given off by the ripening fruit is trapped in the bag and speeds up the process. Berries should be kept in the fridge.

Update from the fields...

We're busy, hot and very tired these days. Lots is happening- garlic harvesting, irrigating, cultivating, planting, monitoring for pests, and trying to keep our plants alive! Farmer Matt will have an update for you one of these days...
